In March of 2024, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on the case Murthy v. Missouri, which involves our First Amendment right to free speech and the federal government’s impeding that speech. The case involves Drs. Aaron Kheriaty, Jay Bhattacharya, and Martin Kulldorff who were featured speakers at the 2022 Restoring Our Faith Summit where they explained how their speech had been suppressed in their workplaces and in the media for their outspoken views against unscientific Covid policies.
As plaintiffs in this case against the Biden Administration, these courageous men are highlighting the “coordinated campaign” by high-level federal officials to suppress the expression of disfavored views on important public issues. During the pandemic, these officials coerced social media companies to engage in censorship about the content posted on their platforms.
There was a free speech rally immediately following the oral arguments at the steps of the Supreme Court on March 18th.
The Brownstone Institute published an article that delves deeper into the case and the amici briefs submitted by Stanford University, the CATO Institute, and NY Attorney General Letitia James. We invite you to read the full article, “A Closer Look at the Amici Briefs in Murthy v. Missouri”.
Additionally, Dr. Kheriaty joined guest Jeffrey Tucker on CHD-TV with host Michael Kane to discuss the case, oral arguments, and the rally on the Supreme Court steps. Listen to the full interview here.
